Medical Flights
The Brantford General Hospital has no Helipad, so patients being transferred by air MUST be brought to and from the Airport.

W. Ross MacDonald School for the Blind
Every week, students are brought to and from the school from North Bay, Sudbury, Trenton, Ottawa and other cities in Ontario.

Search & Rescue
For prolonged searches, aircraft and crews will use this airport as a base of operations.

Law Enforcement
Airport acts as a base of operations during aerial drug searches and police surveillance.

Corporate and Community Access
The Airport is a gateway used by companies to build and maintain business in Brantford. S.C. Johnson, Wescast, Tigercat, etc

Agriculture
Crop dusting aircraft need a place to reload fuel and agricultural products close to the fields being sprayed.

Charter & Cargo
People and products need to be flown to and from small airports like Brantford to avoid lengthy delays at large airports.

Film ProductionThe Airport has acted as a backdrop for countless movies, commercials and documentaries. Welcome to Mooseport & Where the Truth Lies.

Aerial Inspections
Pipelines, power lines and wildlife require frequent inspections, which are based here at the Brantford Airport.

Aerial Photography and Sightseeing As a public access airport, aircraft regularly take
people flying to discover Brantford and surrounding area from above.

Career Training The Brantford Airport is home to a busy flight training school, which
has seen many successful students move on to careers in the military, airlines and
corporate aviation industry.

EntertainmentEvery year, 20 to 30 thousand people attend the Brant United Way Airshow to kick off the yearly campaign. Dozens more come every day to sit and watch the planes take off and land from the Flying Club patio.

Educational Tours
Every year the Airport hosts 15-20 school tours for various age
groups studying aviation.

Recreation
Thousands of people have discovered the joys of renting, building, buying, and flying aircraft at the Brantford Airport.

Employment
With over 50 full time employees based at the Airport, and countless
others in related fields, the Airport constitutes a prominent work force in Brantford.
